Empowering Employees to Inspire Change
In February 2008, IFCO commissioned an internal Sustainability Committee aimed at shaping all aspects of sustainability within IFCO NA. The Committee is comprised of employees from across the company, from plant managers to accountants to senior management. The Committee is charged with driving internal improvement in all three tenets of our “triple bottom line”: Economic, Social, and Environmental. Through this effort, we intend to improve our footprint on the environment, become operationally more efficient, grow revenue, and shape regulatory guidelines for our industry.
The committee is actively engaged with our workforce, soliciting input and ideas and continually updating on the activities of the committee. In addition, the committee provides education on how to be more sustainable, both personally and professionally.
